I stayed in the hut 15-17 July 2012.  The pot belly has been replaced with a Kent-type burner which is very efficient once going.  Plenty of firewood lying around which we chopped up and filled the woodshed with.  Rather a shaded hut but clean and tidy and well maintained.  Took 5 hours walk in from the road end and a great weekend spot.  Plenty of scope for further tramping and a superb new bridge over the Waignawa river makes an all weather tramp.  Note, no axe or firewood at Blue Range Hut.
