    Interclub goings on...

    Hey people,

just to let you know a bit more about what is happening for the interclub activities this weekend. Hannah (on behalf of FMC) has organised for representatives from each of the university tramping clubs in New Zealand to come down to Wellington to promote a bit of mixing, mingling and sharing of ideas between the uni clubs.

On Saturday, representatives from each of the clubs (including two from ours) will meet for a general discussion - if you have any ideas for things to be brought up or mentioned, then either email me or post them here. Future interclub trips would be a good starting point - for instance we tried to challenge AUTC to cricket on the summit plateau of ruapehu last year but the weather forced postponement of the match...

On Saturday night you'll all be able to come along to the party and meet them, as well as on the daytrip on Sunday to the Butterfly Creek area (email Craig if you're keen to come along on this but haven't signed up yet).

Its a great chance to meet some new people, see how the other clubs do things and come do some serious drinking!

    Cheers,

    Kieran,
    Co-Treasurer

Is it possible for me to come along to the meeting and discuss with everyone climbing in clubs and more specifically Sport Climbing at Uni Games.

    Re: Interclub goings on...

I think that's a good idea, as indeed there's no doubt that climbing forms an essential part of the club's activities and it would be good to get a feel among other clubs as well.  Steve and I will also be participating in the Club discussions on Saturday as the Club's reps.  Perhaps I could contact you Bryan once I know approximately when such a discussion might take place on Saturday, probably sometime in the afternoon. Thanks for your interest.
