  • Re: rec centre bouldering

I know I'm a bit out of the loop now being in a different island and all but alot of the places there aren't holds is because you can't put them there. I know that's the case with the top of the invert slab and the top of the bulge on the overhang. It's because when they revamped the rec centre they shafted us a bit and took half the t-nuts out ...

  • Re: Labour weekend mission: Tappy or Tararuas?

Hey Nicolai, Blurbridge is running a student special until the end of Nov of $60 for a student and their car and $55 for any additional students. This doesn't run on Labour weekend but if you were kinda flexible and could leave slightly before you'd save a heap. In terms of transport around South, not sure if they run in the area, but K-bus is ...

  • Re: Bouldering outdoors,around wellington?

Hey, Yeah as Nicolai says, Baring Head is probably your best bet for bouldering around Welly, for more directions and an idea of what type of climbing it is try http://www.cactusclimbing.co.nz/powerband/guides/baring.html. Theres a few bolted routes there too but is largely boulders. As the site says, be a bit wary of when you go, purely as if ...
