Hey guys,
this weekend's club trip is the Gourmet tramp to the Kawekas - although Hawke's Bay may seem a long way to go, the combination of hot pools (at both ends of the track), an easy 2-3 hour walk in beside the river and the aforesaid river to tube down the next day make this very worthwhile!

This saturday we are heading to the hills above days bay to try out the cullinary delights of new zealand plants.
Just looked at ferry times. There's one leaving from Queen's wharf on sat at 10, so if we meet at queens wharf just before then, like 10 to would be great. Ferry leaves from water front near one red dog.

Note all the photos of Gourmet 2007 are tramping photos - not a roast chicken in sight! We had a good trip actually - in to Blue Range friday night then down to Cow Saddle in the sunshine, up to Waingawa in the mist and along Cattle Ridge to meet the others at Roaring Stag.
