Hey, the weather looks like it might be quite decent this weekend so is anyone up for some mountain adventures? I have the loose plan of going skiing on Friday at Turoa, but after that am pretty flexible so could meet up with others just keen for the weekend!

Last night I wrote an extremely basic webpage for checking the ski reports on your cellphone:

Check it out on your computer first, but there are three pages(summary, detail for each field), and its about 10 times smaller data wise than the official sites.
Should prove useful, and more info than txt/phone ...

Hi guys,
A group of us head up any weekend we can, usually leaving early(5am) Saturday and coming back Sunday evening. We stay at The Crossing backpackers.
Most often we have 4 in the car, but I'll be sure to post when we have a space free!

Yes a meeting not to be missed! Ritchie's photo shows and stories never disappoint.
There will also be sign up sheets for both trips, and for mid winter a call for a $50 deposit will be needed to assist us secure transport bookings, preferably on signing up with the balance payable no later than 10 days before travel.

My work is sending me to Southland, and I have a some days to kill on the 6-8 August. If anyone feels like a pioneering, Speightsman adventure, will be in Southland/Otago on that Monday-Wednesday, and wants to come with us (OK a bit of a stretch....) come join us!
