Saturday, 2 March 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Organiser: Justin Atkinson

A collab between VUWTC, Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne and Trelissick Park Group! All three organisations are hosting a community working bee at Trelissick Park, a cool reserve snuggled between Ngaio Gorge, Wadestown and Thorndon. We'll meet at 1pm at the southernmost Kaiwharawhara road entrance, see the map below. We'll be weeding till 3:30pm. No worries if you haven't got much weeding experience, it'll be explained on the day!

More event info from Facebook:

"This event is part of the Kia Mouriora te Kaiwharawhara Sanctuary to Sea initiative which aims to enhance the mouri or lifeforce of the large Kaiwharawhara catchment in Wellington City.

Jobs for the day will include general weeding and native plant care. Gloves and snacks will be provided, but if you have any gloves or tools available be sure to bring them. Make sure to bring water, weather appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes are a must! Please RSVP to this Facebook event so we can plan for numbers."

Let me know if you have any questions! :) I'll bring some club gloves and tools with me on the day. Public transport option is bus 25, closest bus stop from town is Kaiwharawhara Road (near 65).
