Rejuvenating Belmont Regional Park with CVNZ! 💚

Community Planting Day, Belmont Regional Park - Waitangirua Entrance:

"This project aims to bring Wellingtonians together by restoring the hillsides and riparian margins of the Belmont Regional Park restoration planting and community engagement. We will bring back the native forest and help create an ecological corridor for wildlife to travel between Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti and the Hutt Valley.

Transport is provided on request - we have two designated pick-up points in Wellington City and Johnsonville. (Please get in touch for availability as seats are limited).

A BBQ will be put on for lunch by our staff along with extra refreshments! Please bring a full water bottle and snacks for morning tea.

We ask all volunteers to please wear: long sleeves, long pants, sturdy boots/shoes and warm/waterproof layers. A beanie and jacket is recommended as the wind can get nippy on-site."
