VUWTC Committee to be renamed to 'Executive'

Acting President Justin Atkinson has announced the renaming of VUWTC's decision-making body from 'Committee' to 'Executive.'
"This step will improve the standing of the Victoria University Tramping Club among other Te Herenga Waka clubs, who have previously mocked New Zealand's second-oldest tramping club for using the term 'Committee' for its leadership body," Mr Atkinson says.
This rename will take effect immediately on 1 April 2025.
"This change will not diminish the quality of VUWTC's executive governance. Executive members will continue to faithfully serve the members of the Tramping Club by funnelling money to offshore accounts in Samoa, misusing personal details of club members, purchasing packets of biscuits for our 'Executive' meetings, and using club gear for personal trips without recording withdrawals on the gear register."
